Nelson Walks For Wishes with the Make-A-Wish Foundation
This year’s annual Walk For Wishes fundraising walk was a huge success! Nelson team members have been supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation‘s annual Walk For Wishes for 6 years now and this year’s walk took place Saturday, August 8th, at St. Mary’s College. 100% of the proceeds were donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation to help fund wishes for children fighting serious illnesses.
The Walk For Wishes participants and donors exceeded the fundraising goal of $300,000, bringing in $325,223. That’s a lot of wishes come true!
Nelson supporters walked under the team name “Team Chloe.” Joe Madigan, VP of Nelson & Associates, created the team in memory of his daughter Chloe, who was granted a wish nearly 6 years ago. Below are some of the team photos with participants wearing customized Team Chloe shirts, full of smiles and bringing a whole lot of positive energy to the day.
Check back soon for an update on the funds raised by our team.
In the meantime, shout-out to Owen Dormer-Teunissen, who raised $1,675.00! Owen was accompanied by his grandma, Christine Lambert, who works as a Nelson Regional Recruiter in the North and East Bay. Way to go Owen!
Thank you to all of the Nelson team members that were able to contribute or take part in this year’s walk! Every unified effort on our part helps to make a difference in the lives of the children being granted wishes around the world. You all make us smile; see you again next year.
