Last month, members of Nelson Technology Sacramento volunteered at the 2013 membership “F2 – Friends Together” fundraiser benefiting the First Tee of Greater Sacramento. The money raised during the membership drive will help the local program give college scholarships to High School graduates that have gone through the First Tee Program. The Program teaches Sacramento youth (ages 4-18) the following values and life skills:
9 CORE VALUES & LIFE SKILLS
HONESTY
RESPECT
COURTESY
JUDGEMENT
PERSEVERANCE
CONFIDENCE
SPORTSMANSHIP
RESPONSIBILITY
INTEGRITY
Just a few months ago, 4 local Juniors were awarded the First Tee Scholar designation for 2013 and are eligible for an educational scholarship to a participating college or university. This is a full ride scholarship!
The Membership Drive is in full effect. So far, Tyler, Chelsey, Stacey and Tim Harrington have raised $600 . Our goal is $9,000.00 so we need your help!
We will continue to drive membership until we reach our goal so please spread the word! You can follow the First Tee of Greater Sacramento on Facebook or donate online at www.tftgs.org.
