A creative and inventive HR executive certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and as a Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Certified Professional (CP), Lisa Marie Johnson brings over 18 years of experience managing direct-hire and contingent workforces in all classifications, and in a variety of industries.
Partnering with companies of all sizes, from start-ups and medium-sized businesses to internationally-recognized Fortune 100 companies, Lisa is experienced in successfully managing in-house, remote, and VOP, as well as outsourced PEO HR model teams and organizations. Passionate about her work, Lisa has a reputation for resolving complex HR compliance issues and developing effective training, while also maintaining a thriving and streamlined HR workforce structure.
Lisa originally joined Nelson in 2004. During her tenure, Lisa has served as the Vice President of Client Relations for iWorkGlobal, Director of Client Services for WorkforceLogic, and currently holds the position of Vice President of Human Resources (HR) for the entire Nelson family of companies. She has also served as an Executive of Client Services for the HR PEO division of ADP Total Source (TS). Her successful ADP TS division regularly ranked as one of the highest in their region for employee and client retention and satisfaction. Before Nelson and ADP, Lisa was a Program Manager within Cisco Systems’ ACCELERATE Recruiting and Training Program.
A member of SHRM as well as the Northern California Human Resources Association (NCHRA), Lisa is a sought-after speaker known for her use of humor as a training tool; she is currently working to launch her own HR Blog called ‘HR Warrior,’ where humor will meet HR insight as Lisa discusses current hot topics challenging HR executives and gives helpful advice and perspective.
