The Company is the world leader in 3G-324M/H.324M solutions. Dilithium’s engineers participated in ITU group formulating the H.324/H.324M standard. Dilithium founded the IMTC’s H.324M interop activity group and co-chairs it 3G-324M activity workgroup. Dilithium has been shipping a 3G-324M/H.324M product for over four years, and its technology is embedded in leading future 3G handset manufacturers.
Dilithium's patented Unicoding transcoding technology significantly reduces the cost of delivering voice and video across telecommunications networks. Our products enable real-time translation of Voice and video bitstreams on the fly, without full decoding and re-encoding resulting in very substantial reductions in cost per channel, MIPS, and memory requirements.
History
Dilithium grew out of the participation on the ITU-T H.324/H.324M workgroup by Dr. Marwan Jabri, company founder and CTO. Dr. Jabri developed some of the first protocol stack implementations of the H.324/H.324M standard while a Professor at the University of Sydney, Australia, and founded Macchina Pty Ltd, the predecessor to Dilithium. He researched and developed over a period of 20 years intelligent signal processing algorithms for multimedia coding and transcoding, which led to the founding of Dilithium. Dr. Jabri currently holds the Gordon & Betty Moore endowed Chair Professor, OGI School of Science and Engineering of the Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU). Dilithium is recognized as a leader in multimedia communications solutions and today has offices on 4 continents and customers in over 40 countries.
